Like a Girl is an extra-curricular, locally (Halifax) based non-profit girls group that supports gender equality, women’s rights and promotes open-dialogue of women’s issues, such as period stigma, body image issues, safe sex practices, consent, sexual assault and violence against women. This program is offered to all students that identify as female at the grade 9 level (girls of the age range of 15-16).
